Holy crap it’s June. Time flies when you’re having fun, or trying to have fun while you are really just working a lot. I am ready to hit the beach!

The theme of the blog this month is wellness—physical, mental, spiritual, financial, and otherwise. It’s aptly timed because I needed a swift kick in the rear on this front, and connecting with women doing work in this space got it on my mind, front and center. If I have to say so myself, I look and act pretty “well,” but like most things in life, there’s more to the story than what meets the eye.

I have been hustling hard for a long time now. Only recently have I realized that I could take it down a notch; I am grateful for the ability to be able to do that at this point in my life. I’ve been sick a lot recently, like the type of sick where your body seems to be yelling at you “hey, I am not doing too well, take care of me.” If that’s not a signal, I don’t know what is. I look fine, but I don’t feel at all well or like I am maximizing my time in the one body I get. So, alongside this month’s wellness kick on SG, I’ll be embarking on my own little wellness journey. I might even have the time [aka guts] to share it with you all.

Okay, enough about me and back to what’s up on SG this month.

I’m super excited to report we have a ton of interviews going up this month—from women in both business and wellness that I admire—and that I think you’ll enjoy learning about and hearing from. Be on the lookout for some cool product discount codes, too. We will also have a lot of personal narratives related to mental health, wellness, and my favorite #selfcare, as well as posts by women in wellness with tips and advice to share as you embark on your own journey to maximal health. I’m especially excited about some of the finance-related posts, as that is an often forgotten or under-discussed aspect of wellness.

Looking ahead, July we are going to dig around in all things advocacy and empowerment, so if you know someone with a story, expertise, or a related business or organization that we might want to feature, hit us up.

Stay strategic and wear sunscreen,
